Gruppo Russo’s business has deep roots.
It was founded in 1950 by Antonio Russo who, immediately after the war, started a brickworks firm based on the family business practiced over the years. At the end of the 1980s, his sons Antonio Russo, Rosario, Francesco, Fedele and Giancarlo sought to develop the company, to make it diversify, expand and reach out beyond Calabria’s regional borders and face the Italian market at large. The brickworks factory no longer exists; it has been replaced by a chain of supermarkets, group catering facilities, chains of organized distribution shops and lastly, “integrated estate work”. The latter activity, managed by Sercom S.p.A, has, over the past few years, further boosted Gruppo Russo’s business, now an important one in the promotion and creation of shopping centres in Italy. This business has allowed its management and team of collaborators to expand and form relations with Italian concerns specialized in high company finance, property management, consultancy firms, leading Credit Institutions, Investment Companies and Institutional Investors.
Gruppo Russo can now count on a highly important domestic network and real, favourable credit in Italy’s social and business community.
The group now has, in addition to a great wealth of intangible assets, a reasonable turnover and profit margins in the fields in which it operates. The future holds potential for further growth; new business initiatives are underway and more are in the pipeline. Vast entrepreneurial experience and important initiatives in progress consolidate the image of this group, whose determination and knowledge gained through research and dedication has broadened its horizons, enabling it to seize the opportunities offered by increasingly dynamic and complex markets to passionate businesses.
